Brenda Dodson Briscoe Shipp, 70 of Camden, passed away at her home Thursday, June 16, 2022.   Brenda was born Dec 4, 1951 and was Miss Harmony Grove class of 1970. Upon graduating she married her high school sweetheart Les Briscoe with whom she had two sons, Shane and Brandon. Through the 70's and 80's she worked for Stromberg Carlson, Atlantic Research, and Vought. In the early 90's she got a nursing degree and went to work for Dallas County Home Health seeing patients, then marketing, and finally auditing until her retirement in 2012. Brenda was very comical, outgoing, and outspoken, sometimes to a fault. She was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed!

She leaves to cherish her memory, her two boys, her brothers Mike and Jeff Dodson; her grandchildren, Destiny, Dakota, Blaine, and Zane Briscoe; great grandsons, Zayden Whitley and Jay Daniel; great granddaughters, Alyssa and Emma Daniel; and her nieces, Christy, Emily, Elaine and Sissy; nephews, Aaron and Bobby; and many more friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years Les; her second husband, Ed Shipp; parents, Joe and Faye Dodson; sister in laws, Tammy Dodson and Sharon Briscoe; granddaughter, Nicole Daniel; and great nephew, Caleb Fuentes.

Brenda told of her soul being delivered from the burden of sin in August of 1978 at Warner Spur Assembly of God church. She also told of being led by the Lord to unite by testimony and baptism with Harmony Grove Missionary Baptist Church in 2002, where she was a faithful member until her passing. She testified many a time and as recently as the last Sunday of looking forward to leaving this world for the glory of heaven!

Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at 2:00PM at Proctor Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Saturday, from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
