Brenda Sue
Humphries
Apr 25, 1960 — Sep 20, 2024
Camden
Brenda Sue Humphries, 64, of Camden, left her earthly home on September 20, 2024, to be united with her Savior, in whom her faith never wavered. She was covered in love as she was surrounded by her family.
Sue was born April 25, 1960, in Camden, Arkansas to Carl Victor and Maudie Estelle Ponder. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Ricky Ponder and Carl Vester Ponder, and sister; Annette Hodges. She is survived by her husband George Humphries of Camden; and daughters Keri Humphries of New Haven, Connecticut and Holly Humphries of Camden, and sister; Sandy Barnhart of Chidester.
Sue carried a lot of titles in her life that she cherished with each breath. She was a loving wife, adoring mom, a supportive sister, and Aunt Boo to her nephews. However, the title she treasured in her heart was Mrs. Sue. Sue owned an in-home daycare where she cared for and nurtured families in the community for close to 30 years. She treated each child as though they were her own and each family became a part of hers.
In addition to being a daycare owner, Sue enjoyed, shopping, cooking, helping to decorate classrooms, and she was a lover of all animals, especially her cat, Patches. As an avid reader she was known to finish a book in one sitting. However, the thing she loved doing most was spending time with her family- playing games, watching movies, and taking trips to Branson and Hot Springs. Sue was an amazing woman that will be missed by those whose life she touched.
