Billy Wayne Curtis was born March 17, 1934, in his home, in McCaskill, AR. He passed away December 26, 2024. Billy Wayne was a proud Retired Navy Veteran. He did not boast of his time of service, but he was quick to say how proud he was to serve, and of his fellow veterans.
Upon Retirement Billy Wayne moved to Camden, AR to join in on the family Gardening with his parents John and Evelyn Curtis. Gardening turned into a business venture called Curtis Farming – including a vegetable stand where he and his father could do one of the things they loved the most – visiting with people. If you started talking to him about the Curtis Family Reunions, his uncles and "the sisters" – referring to his aunts from his father's side, he could go on for hours.  His nieces and nephews in turn still laugh at their Uncle Bill playing games with them at Christmas time, because he was one for the drama around the game table. A favorite family memory is the rare occasions when all the Curtis men were gathered around a table outside, drinking coffee and catching up.

Billy was also a long-time member of Timothy Methodist Church. It was there he met the love of his life Marjorie Gilchrist. They were very happily married for 17 years until Marjorie proceeded him in death September 2022.

Billy Wayne is survived by his brother Roger A. Curtis (Mary). Nieces Debbie Herbert and Pam (Kenny) Lawson. Nephew Alan (Laura) Curtis. 13 Great, and 10 Great, Great Nieces and Nephews. Grandchildren Alexander Elliott, Emma Harless, Sarah Sarlouis. Great Grandchildren Gianna Elliot, Levi Harless. He is proceeded in death by his parents John and Evelyn Curtis, Brother Johnny Mac Curtis and wife Marjorie Curtis.
The family is very thankful for friends and neighbors who have reached out to, checked in on, and provided meals for Billy Wayne.

The Memorial Service will be 2pm, Saturday January 4, at Timothy Methodist Church. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
