Bettye J. Perkins, 88, of Chidester, AR passed away Monday, January 8, 2024. Bettye was born on October 12, 1935 in Camden, AR to Arlee and Louise Rosegrant Jordan. She loved to read, and plant flowers. Bettye loved to travel, she was a member of the King of the road RV Club. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie E. Perkins; her sister, Arlene Dumas Tracy. She is survived by her daughter, Treasa Evans and her husband, Mike of El Dorado, AR; her son Eddie Perkins and his wife, Patricia of Waskom, TX; three grandchildren, Steven Breazeale, Edward Perkins, and Ashley Barbo and her husband, Mike; sister, Joyce Moore and her husband, Jessie of Waskom, TX; brother, Alvis Lee and his wife, Linda of Waskom, TX; her sister-in-law, Carol Holsing of Cabot, AR; and her two cats, Thomas and Lucky Girl; and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Chidester Baptist Church in Chidester, AR with the interment at Bluff City Cemetery. A visitation will be held before the service from 10:00AM-10:30AM Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
