Barbara Kay Packard Cathey, Age 81, of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, formerly of Camden, Arkansas died September 25, 2024.  She was born September 24, 1943 in Camden, AR to Edwin R. and Josephine Hale Packard.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edgar R. "Buddy" Packard.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald Edward Cathey of Mount Ida, AR; step-daughter, Sherri Lee Funk of Maumelle, AR; grandson, Braxton Donald Funk of Conway, AR; and niece, Rhonda Packard Shirey (David) of Camden, AR.

Barbara was a member of Joplin United Methodist Church of Mt. Ida, AR.  She was a devoted wife and homemaker guided by her Christian faith.

Graveside services will be Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2:30PM at Greenwood Cemetery in Camden.  Reverend Fred Hunter will officiate.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Proctor Funeral Home from 1:00PM to 2:00PM.
