Barbara Floss, 82, died June 16, 2023.  She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio February 21, 1941, to Don and Helen Downing.  Barabara was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Hampton, AR.  She served on the Hampton City Council and was former mayor of Hampton, was an organizer of Hogskin Holidays and a member of the Hampton Garden Club.  Most of all, Barabara will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Downing; two sisters, Nancy Harmon and MaryBeth Downing and a granddaughter, Jenna Floss.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Floss; four sons, Brian Floss, Bill Floss (Irina), Bruce Floss (Sherry) and Brent Floss (Susan); grandchildren, Milisa, Cristianna, Dillon, Will, Chloe, Gabe, Jacob, Halle, Jessica, Harlee, Olivia, Gavin, Lily, Alia and Julia and great grandchildren, Brody, Alexis, Avery, Vivian and Josie.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00 Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Victory Baptist Church in Hampton.  Services will be 10:00 Monday, June 19, 2023at the church followed by interment at Means Cemetery near Hampton.
