Obituary

Anita (lovingly known as Nita or Nene) Williams joined Jesus in her eternal home around 4:00am on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.  Nita was born July 11, 1956 to Elma and Nick Pickard in Springhill, LA.  Elma later married Richard Matt Martin, who would adopt and love Anita as his own daughter.  Anita worked many years as a waitress at Big Ben's Truck Stop where she enjoyed smiling and joking with her customers.  For a few years she also babysat children in her home.  She loved her children and grandchildren and just being around kids in general.  She was a great cook and an even better housekeeper.  If you knew Nita then you knew that she loved to cut up and have a good time.  She enjoyed watching movies, eating good food and most of all drinking her Dr Peppers!

Anita was preceded in death by her first husband, Johnny Ray Waxley; her parents, Elma and Matt Martin; sister, Connie Martin and great grandson, Nate Waxley.

Anita is survived by one brother, Michael Martin and wife Tatiana of Bella Vista, AR; three children, Jason Waxley and wife Kristy of Smackover, AR, Jessica Beatty of Lake Village, AR and Nathan Dakota Rial of Appleton, WI; six grandchildren, Tyler Waxley and wife Taylor, Cole Waxley and wife Tess, Landon Waxley, Kaylyn Crosby, Jason Richard "JR" Beatty and Kopelin Ojeda; two great grandchildren, Josie Kate and Maxwell Kai Waxley; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends to treasure memories of her.

We will have a memorial service in her honor on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Westside Baptist Church, El Dorado, AR, in the youth house at 3:00pm for anyone that would like to attend.
