Alice Martin, 98, of Camden, AR passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 16, 2022. She was born on December 10, 1924 in Locust Bayou, AR to Ray and Ila Riggs Mitchell. She was a member of the Locust Bayou Church of Christ for many years. She enjoyed reading, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Martin; a brother, Herbert Mitchell; her sister, Nona Mitchell Solomon; and her daughter-in-law, Vera Martin. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Hollingsworth and her husband, Carroll of Hampton, AR; son, Gene Martin and his wife, Rhonda of Hot Springs Village, AR; her grandchildren, Andrea Patrylo and husband, Brad of Truesdale, MO, Sarah Hollingsworth Belll and Husband, Matt of Fayetteville, AR, and Lee Hollingsworth of Fayetteville, AR; and her great-grandchildren, Zane Bell, Hollin Bell, Cort Bell, Maggie Hollingsworth, and Charlie Hollingsworth; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Braden and the OCMC Home Health and Hospice Staff, and the ICU and ER staff for all they did for their mother.

A funeral service will be held at Locust Bayou Church of Christ on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 2:00PM. There will be a visitation from 1:00PM-2:00PM before the service. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
