Aaron Charles Leggett, age 40, passed away on May 9, 2026. He was born on April 28, 1986.

Aaron was a devoted husband, loving father, faithful son, cherished brother, and dedicated preacher of the Gospel. Above all earthly callings, Aaron believed his greatest ministry was to his family. He often said he was called first to be a good husband and father, and he lived that calling with love, strength, and unwavering devotion.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Terry and Jimmie Gray.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Angela Leggett, and their children: Aaron Reece Leggett (15), Adam Carter Leggett (14), Gabriel Jaxson Leggett (13), and Adalynn Denise Leggett (11). He is also survived by his parents, Damon and Tammy Leggett, his siblings: Kellye (Brian) Thomas, Adam (Jessica) Leggett, Katye Leggett, Kordelia Leggett, Caroline Leggett, Abigail (Haydn) Bradshaw, and A.J. Leggett; his grandparents, Charles and Janie Kelley and David and Sharon Leggett. He also leaves behind one niece, eight nephews, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and countless people whose lives were touched by his ministry and kindness.

Aaron surrendered to preach on December 29, 2002, at the age of 16. From that day forward, he faithfully dedicated his life to sharing the Word of God. He loved hearing from the Lord and bringing a message to His people each week. Aaron believed the Word of God "never gets old and is always richer, deeper, and fuller." His passion for Christ and his love for people were evident in every sermon, every prayer, and every conversation.

One of Aaron's favorite verses was Ephesians 3:8: "To me, who am less than the least of all saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ."

Aaron's life was a testimony of faith, humility, and love. Though he will be deeply missed by all who knew him, his legacy will live on through his family, his ministry, and the countless lives he touched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be held from 12:00PM to 1:30PM Thursday, May 14, 2026 before the service at 1:30PM at Elliott Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
