John Henry Pace, 83, passed away February 24, 2014. Bro. John Pace was born March 11, 1930 to the late Alex Pace and Janie Hughes Pace. He accepted Jesus as his Savior at an early age at the Good Hope Baptist Church. He was a veteran and served in the Korean War. He was survived by 9 children and 2 preceded him in death. He was married to Carol Smith Pace; to this union were 5 children.

He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted wife, Carol Pace and children from Detroit, Michigan, Corona, California, Atlanta, Georgia and the state of Washington, sons, John Eric, Dale, Timothy (Patricia) and Larry; daughters, Aliece, Sandra, Charlotte, Neglia, Lenia, Diana, Dremia. Anthony, Stanley and Sonya preceded him in death. He is also survived by his sisters, Verline Williams, Unice Rhodes, and Ophelia Cranford; a brother, John Willie Hughes; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be Thursday,11:00 a.m. at the Good Hope Baptist church with Rev. Bruce Porchia officiating followed by interment at Good Hope Cemetery.
