(April 1, 1937 - December 22, 2013)

Raydelle Wallace “Ray” Sellers, of Camden, Arkansas, passed Saturday, December 22, 2013, into eternal life with the Lord and the many loved ones that predeceased her. The family and friends of this beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend will celebrate her life and rejoice in her homecoming. Ray was born on April 1, 1937, in Camden, Arkansas, to Ray Bounds Wallace and Jesse W. Wallace. She was the granddaughter of Carmen Bounds Douglas and of Sophia Dean and Luther Wallace.

Her parents, grandparents, infant son James Morgan, and infant daughter Tammy Fontenot predecease Ray. Also predeceasing her are her brother-in-law Joe Daniel, nephew Kevin Daniel, and stepbrother Bob Hogue.

Surviving her are Judson D. Sellers, Jr., her husband of thirty-nine years, and her sons: John Sellers and wife Tiffany of Grand Island, Nebraska; Steve Sellers of Lake Village; Clifford Sellers of Lake Village; and Mark Sellers and wife Donna of Texarkana. She leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren including Carsten and Carlli Sellers, Anthony Sellers, Amelia and Sheldon Sellers, and great-granddaughter Austyn Sellers. She is survived by her brother Joe Wallace and wife Doris, her sister Sue Waggoner and husband David, half-sister Cheryl Fisher and husband Fred Fisher, and stepsister Frankie Beach. Survivors also include her nieces Susan Clemons, Audry Harrington, and Debbie Ashworth, and her nephew Austin Harrington.

Ray was a long-time member of St. Louis Catholic Church and had a special love for her parish family and the priests that have served them. Ray retired from the Camden Police Department in 2000 after 20 years of service to the Camden community. Ray was intelligent and capable, possessing a strong will and great compassion both for other people and the animals she loved. Most remarkable was her faith, and the patience with which she accepted His will during her final illness. Slow to complain and eager to help, she will be memorialized as a unique and powerful example of determination, faith, character and love.

Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2013, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, immediately followed by prayer service and rosary at Proctor Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at 8:30 AM at St. Louis Catholic Parish in Camden, followed by internment service for immediate family at Buena Vista Cemetery.
